My Experience.
Hi – I’m Kelsey Thompson! I’ve spent over a decade as a public relations professional in New York City, working with clients across multiple industries including financial services, technology, social impact, healthcare, and more. A generalist in terms of subject matter, I specializes in media relations, executive visibility, and corporate communications and currently support organizations ranging from personal finance start-ups to global environmental non-profits. I combine a passion for storytelling with analytic thinking to deliver meaningful results for clients.
Prior to consulting through KAT Group, I led agency PR programs for clients including Capital One, Wilmington Trust, Dynata, The Alliance for Lifetime Income, Citizens Bank, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and TD Bank. I also spearheaded global media relations for Sodexo, Rhode Island Commerce Corporation, and was part of the team that launched Sallie Krawcheck’s digital investment platform for women, Ellevest, with results totaling more than one billion media impressions.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in public relations from the Pennsylvania State University and live in Brooklyn, NY.
